The day started with trip to Namuang Safari park. We were picked up from our hotel at 9AM and we drove to park with open truck (in Philippine terms a jeepney). In Namuang Safari Park we took a Elephant ride.
Elephant Trekking is a popular activity on Koh Samui. It was possible to choose between a 30 minute or a 1 hour ride. Although the one-hour ride included a going to a waterfall for swim and rest, we took a half-hour trekking as we had small child with us. This was fun sitting in the cart at the top and just enjoying the surroundings. We made some stops and at one point the “driver” made some sales to us. It was successful, as we bought a bracelet and small elephant for necklaces. Both were made from elephant bone.
In the safari park we also enjoyed the elephant, monkey and crocodile show. In the monkey show the monkeys displayed their dexterity and not just at picking coconuts. This was fun.
There were also plenty of opportunities to take pictures with parrots, elephants, monkeys and also with tiger babies.
After the tour in Namuang park we spend some good time at the pool. Some of us also visited famous Thai massage to have foot massage and aloe vera massage to help skin from sunburning.
In the evening we visited Lamai beach “city center” which was about 15 minutes walk from our hotel. The only bad thing with walking was that the rode followed the main car road from Lamai to Chaweng (quite busy road) and did not have a walking path. So, it was uncomfortable with trolly and later we came back by taxi for 300Baht.
We had a dinner at the same restaurant as last night - Bauhaus Bistro - and the dinner was really good again. And the pancake after that tasted extreamly well.
